Titling blog posts is probably the HARDEST thing I do.   Seriously.  I hate blog titles.  I wish I could cut to the chase and just start writing…..so let’s get to it!

I’m going to end the week with some sort highlights post.
Sooo here we go!

1) Chasing the sun with my friend yesterday <3 *preview below*
2) Rediscovering my owl bag.  I bought it on Olvera Street last year and used it once…maybe twice?  Definitely bringing this puppy out more!
3) Homemade veggie flautas = success!  I also made Jared the chicken version.  Recipe anyone?
4) My dad rescuing me from my DIY fauxdenza attempt. *pics of my fauxdenza coming next Fri!*
5) Lola and Lacey FINALLY playing together.  It only took Lola 5 months to adjust…not bad…right?! *DIY-ing my bed frame/headboard..don’t mind the mattress on the floor!*

I wanna hear some of your highlights.  Post below!

For christmas 2012 i decided to [secretly] take photos of my nieces and nephews and surprise their parents and my mom and dad with them.  Well, that idea was in, like, october and by the time christmas came, i forgot i had even done that.  It’s the thought that counts, right?

I recently handed them out and thought I’d share a few with you!

I am by no means a children’s photographer.  This was tough stuff!  I think I lost 5lbs in 1 hour chasing them around.  On second thought, maybe that’s just what I need to do! 😉

Have a happy Thursday!

I was sitting back with a friend of mine and I mentioned I don’t like the reputation Mondays have [Monday Blues, Lazy Mondays, Monday Slumday, etc.] and how I thought a happy series on Mondays would be awesome…but let me be the first to say I’m all for ideas and lack the follow up at times.  Especially regarding blogging.  I think it and want to do it and then for fear of failing or not keeping up I don’t do anything.
A blog series is a big commitment for me, but my friend challenged me and I love her for that.  And you know what?  This is 2013.  My year for change and getting out of my comfort zone [not limited to blogging] and doing things that scare me a little!

So here we are –  Happy Mondays vol. I!  Just a spot for some funnies and motivation.
Mondays don’t have to be dreadful.  Choose to make it a good one.

I hope this brings a little happy to your Monday.

Oh, this next one gets me every. single. time.

And this?  Genius!  hahahaha

Happy Monday!

When I first started photography, I had a few photographers whose work I followed and Diandra was one of them.  When I had the opportunity to second shoot for her the first time, I almost turned it down.  Why on earth would I do that?  I was nervous.  I look up to Diandra — girly, you know this — and the thought of working alongside her was nerve wrecking!  I thank sweet baby Jesus I didn’t turn it down because Diandra is one of the most sweet, friendly, down to earth girls I’ve met.  And since second shooting, a friendship has developed that I’m so grateful for.

Diandra and her husband Javi are expecting a sweet baby girl!  At the last minute we got together to shoot some in-home maternity shots.
Here are some of my faves.

Diandra, thanks for being so open with your knowledge.  You've been such a blessing in my life, and I hope these photos are just what you envisioned <3
